Shoshanna wrote, directed and appeared in the music video No Thank You
I’ll Twist Some-more
(1984) when she was just 17. It aired on WABC television's New York Hot Tracks, in New York and Los Angeles. It showed in New York, Tokyo and Los Angeles night clubs and for US Navy troops. Originally shot on 16 millimeter film this was one of the first music videos predating MTV. This seminal work has provided inspiration for the music video genre that has emerged.

Shoshanna wrote, directed and acted in Dinner at JoJo’s (1989). The film
won the People’s Choice award at Chicks with Flick’s and was honored as
one of NYU Tisch School of The Arts best films. The film also won Best Special Effects and Best Production Design at New York University Tisch School of the Arts Film Festival.The film continues to be featured at film showings, festivals and competitions and has been honored at industry events including Cine Women and New York Women in Film presentations.


Shoshanna Gleich and Erin Rabitcheff recorded You're Gonna Love Me as a rap single when they were 25 and the only other female rap group was Salt N Pepa. Their group, Eshon, which was a combination of both their names, was the first interracial and Jewish, female rap group.

God’s Giggle, an original comedy on roller skates, workshopped at Here Main Arts Center (2003). The performance created by Shoshanna, received a special honorary introduction by Obie Award and Drama Desk award
winning Gretchen Cryer. God’s Giggle workshopped Off-Broadway at The Garrett Theatre (2004), Where Eagles Dare (2005), The SFC in Vermont and at two NYWIFT events (2005).

 

2006 marked the debut of Shoshanna’s Super Fire Woman, the Roller
Dancing Hero Of The Heart
. For the next decade Super Fire Women
appeared, rapping while roller dancing, in venues that include The
Woodstock Farm Festival (2009), The International Pickle Festival (2010),
and The Rosendale Street Fair (2010). At Market Market, Super Fire
Women appeared in a comedic skit penned by Shoshanna. Jerry Marotta, world renowned drummer for the Indigo Girls and Peter Gabriel, played back up for a Super Fire Woman performance and Shoshanna’s reading of an original poem, Sizzle In My Fizzle (2015).

 

The character, Water Woman, was created in 2012 to give voice to the
waters that are in need of our protection. Shoshanna choreographed and was the lead skater in the film Water Woman Dance. Her original poetry, featured in the film, was scored by Grammy Award winning composer and musician Steve Gorn, and filmed by Miana Jun. Shoshanna appeared as Water Woman at The Goddess Festival at The Colony Café (2012).

Shoshanna was commissioned to act and dance in a ritual reenactment of
a sacred story for an annual event that celebrates the Divine Feminine that
was produced in Toronto, Canada, (2015), Vashon Island, WA, (2016), and Sewanee, Tennessee (2017).

Shoshanna’s fans are awaiting God’s Giggle Revival, a revival of Shoshanna’s original one woman show on roller skates (2005). The show’s lively roller dance numbers become the platform for a portrayal of Shoshanna’s 17–year transformational journey that resulted in the lotus blooming anew.

 

Shoshanna also continues to develop and expand The Inner Beauty Ball, a filmed event that she conceived in 1996 and birthed on the full moon of September 13th 2019. She is continuing to develop and sell her continuously expanding Inner Beauty Book.

 

Her television series, Super Fire Woman and Her Sparks for Manhattan Neighborhood Network features Shoshanna as the Roller Dancing Hero of the Heart who provides a forum for others to give voice to their hearts dream. Shoshanna and Brontis Shane Orengo co-produce the half hour talk show that spotlights people with mental, developmental and physical disabilities. The shows format allows featured guests to share their gifts and story. Super Fire Woman And Her Sparks is presently in pre-production for the next episode starring students from the Lavelle Music School For The Blind.
